Strange Events: June 12- 18th, Broadway, Blood Drive, and Black Butler

Every week I look for new shows, movies, and documentaries to enjoy after work during the week. I try to narrow it down from the high volume of entertainment available to  a range of things with a strange twist to them. I also try to keep an eye out for astronomical events, and other interesting things. Enjoy, and let me know what you watch!
Monday- June 12th

9 p.m. – SUPERHUMAN – Fox 

Ordinary people with unusual abilities compete for the title of Superhuman (and prize $$$).

Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic- out in theaters

Ceil and Sebastian are solving a mystery on a luxury liner!

Tuesday- June 13th

12:01 a.m. PT – OH, HELLO ON BROADWAY (Comedy special) – Netflix

Having already enjoyed an incredible run on Broadway, Oh, Hello debuts as a comedy special on Netflix. 

Wednesday- June 14

10 pm-  Blood Drive -Syfy A new grindhouse-inspired series, “Blood Drive,” will push TV’s boundaries. Alan Ritchson stars as a cop who’s forced to join a deadly cross-country race in which the cars run on blood.

Some Like It Hot- In theaters one night only!

Thursday-June 15 

Saturn will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. This is the best time to view and photograph Saturn and its moons. A medium-sized or larger telescope will allow you to see Saturn’s rings and a few of its brightest moons.

9 p.m. – The Tunnel: Sabotage (Season 2) – PBS 

Switching from the coasts of Kent and Northern France by the Eurotunnel, this crime drama returns to focus on a airliner crash in the English Channel.

Friday- June 16

47 Meters Down- out in theaters

A terrifying tale of survival set in the domain of the ocean’s fiercest creatures (which are sharks…obviously.)

Jasmine- out in theaters

Jasmine stars Jason Tobin as successful Hong Kong businessman, Leonard, one year after his wife’s murder and becomes obsessed with a mysterious stranger he thinks killed his wife. 

Score: A Film Music Documentry- out in theaters

Score: A Film Music Documentary brings Hollywood’s elite composers together to give viewers a privileged look inside the musical challenges and creative secrecy of the world’s most international music genre: the film score

Saturday- June 17

9 p.m. – Turn: Washington’s Spies Season 4 – AMC 

The fourth season following the efforts of the Culper Ring during the Revolutionary War. 

Sunday- June 18th

11 p.m. – KEVIN HART PRESENTS: THE NEXT LEVEL – Comedy Central
