Strange Acoustics: Stand by Me

Stand By Me was originally recorded in 1961 by Ben E. King. Since then, over 400 different artists have recorded their own versions, including John Lennon, Mickey Gilley, 4 the Cause, Prince Royce, Kitty Hawke, and Florence and the Machine. I could probable make an entire playlist of all the different versions of this song that I currently have, but a few of my favorites are below. I especially love the video of Straight No Chaser serenading employees at a fast food restaurant.

  1. Great post!!! I love that song as well. And the Straight Liquor No chase video made me smile, as I see it brought a smile to the Restaurant Workers’ faces as well.
