Strange Places: Tiger World I usually never by a season pass to a park or museum, Tiger World is the only exception. A unique zoo located 40 minutes from Charlotte, NC, it is a sanctuary for large predators (mainly tigers of course!) All of them are large with grass, and some even have water features. A lot of care has gone into replicating the right environment for each species. Since is served as a rescue sanctuary, some of the animals are kept away from the public until they are ready for the exposure.
